The Need in Yolo County
Yolo county displays a high-level need for a Family Child Care Home Education Network (FCCHEN) to support providers in serving children and families. The Yolo Family Child Care Network Inc. (Yolo Family) aims to bridge this gap by creating a network of providers to offer full year quality child care prioritized for infants and toddlers who qualify, but not limited. Unfortunately, only 5% of licensed centers in Yolo county receive state funding compared to 28% statewide, leaving many families without these resources or adequate child care options. Yolo Family provides funding options for affordable child care to those who need it most.

Yolo Family is committed to ensuring that every child receives the best possible child care services. Our mission is to provide funding for eligible children in licensed family child care homes. We believe in respecting the uniqueness of each child, nurturing relationships, and providing holistic human development. Our guiding principles prioritize family culture and language, and integrate learning into every aspect of our work.
