Introducing our Program Director, Katy Rangel.

She comes to Yolo Family with fifteen years’ experience in the early childhood education field. She believes that early learning opportunities are the fundamental roots for children flourishing in exploration and developmental growth.

Growing up from a young age in the Yolo County area, she continues to raise her family in her hometown of Woodland. She believes in being a life-longer learner and is in the process of achieving her master’s degree in early childhood education-special education. After which her goal is to continue with additional certifications. During her down time, she likes to be outdoors gardening or traveling, reading books, and spending quality time with her family.

Her goals include giving back to the community youth by working diligently with families and community resource partners. Working alongside those in the field, and collaborating with providers, families, and community, she is devoted to the idea of scaffolding on best practices to enrich the experiences for those she works alongside.
